Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a reliable and experienced Accounts Payable Vouching Associate to join their client's team in Cheshire. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and efficient processing of the company's bills and accounts payable duties under the supervision of the Accounting Office Manager. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a positive attitude, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, match, and process invoices, credits, and receiving documents.
  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to inquiries from vendors as required.
  • Reconcile checking account at month-end.
  • Assist with general ledger entries for month-end closing.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and outside vendors.
  • Maintain updated vendor files as necessary.
  • Possess some accounts receivable knowledge for further growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Two years of experience working in accounts payable vouching or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
  • Some knowledge in both accounts receivable and collections is ideal for job growth and cross-training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on calculating figures and amounts.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proven track record of being dependable and reliable with a desire to grow with the company.
